Guiding children to reach their fullest potential has been her driving force. As Senior Psychologist and head of the Intervention Team, she works with families to empower them to guide their children in their development.

Hi there,

Working with families in order to guide a child to reach his fullest potential has been a long held belief of mine. Children’s Partnership was set up in 2005 with the intent of working together with families. Over the years, it has been a privilege to work with each and every family as we work towards guiding each child in their journey through life. I have also been blessed with a team of incredibly talented and dedicated consultants who are passionate about the work they do with the families.

From a professional standpoint, I graduated from Murdoch University with a degree in Psychology. I worked in a special school, where I got to learn about the gifts of each child I taught as I guided them through dance, swimming and job placements, in addition to the day to day academics. During this time, I earned a master’s degree in Applied Psychology and started a new phase in my work life where I was involved in the assessment and diagnosis of children at a local hospital. In my time there, I received training in various intervention programmes (PECS, Structured Teaching, MISC approach) and helped to initiate various intervention programmes. I was and still am continually looking to improve the lives of the children I work with, which led to my becoming an RDI® Program Certified Consultant.

As an RDI® Program Certified Supervisor, I have had the privilege to guide Consultants-In-Training from countries such as, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan. I have also enjoyed working as an associate trainer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic guiding teachers who were keen to learn more about students living with special needs.

Over the years, I have continued to receive training and study with the goal of improving the lives of the children and families I work with. In particular, the area of neurodevelopment is a keen interest of mine. I have received training in various approaches (HANDLE, Rhythmic Movement Training, Play based treatment of trauma).”

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter. I have been incredibly fortunate to have my parents watch over her when I am at work.

If you decide to invite us to take this journey with you, I believe you will find it an empowering and hopeful experience.
